Confucianism is about respect, belief that all with talent should participate in government, and the belief that education is important.
Welcome, new officials.
Daoism is all about nature and balance and minding your own business while staying out of government, and that the dao is the only thing to follow.
Legalism is based upon harsh punishments and rewards for the obedient, strong leadership, the belief that all people are born evil, and that the only way to gain obedience and loyalty is with punishments
Confucianism is my philosphy of choice, because it teaches that respect is important. Many don't understand this fact. Another reason Confucianism is best, is because it teaches that all talent should participate in the government. For example, a merchant can take care of state money, or a trader can be in charge of, well, trading.
Daoism is not the worst, but certainly not the best, as government and state needs are not top priority, and instead, nature is. Without strong government the state is weak, and thus all that nature work goes to waste as your scholars die, artisans killed, beautiful nature burned or looted, and all this happens because government was not a priority
Legalism is clearly the worst, as it teaches that all are born bad, and the only way to have obedience from them, is to punish them into that submission. Ruling out of fear is just not right as it corrupts people.
