THE LEGEND OF SAN GEORGE AND THE DRAGON

Once upon a time there was a very distant kingdom where its inhabitants lived frightened by a dragon that destroyed all the crops and ate the animals to satisfy their hunger. To avoid this situation, the inhabitants decided to give each day a person as a sacrifice for the dragon. One day the princess came out as an offering and all its inhabitants wanted it not to be her since she was going to be the future queen. But the princess said that the dragon would offer for her people. On the way to the dragon's cave the princess met a knight and when telling her story, the knight said that he would help she. The knight went in search of the dragon and throwing his spear at his chest killed him. From the spilled blood a rose bush was born, which he gave to the princess. And from that day the kingdom lived in peace.
