  • The prisioners arrived in Robben Island.. The prison guards took them to a new building, specially built for political prisioners.
  • 466\64
  • Each prisioner was given a prision number which was put on the door of the cell. Mandela was the 466th that year of 1964, so his number was 466\64 ( a number that later became famuus all over the world)
  • In 1965, some officials from an internacional group visited Robben Island, and Mandela was chosen by the other prisioners to meet them.
  • Ok partners, don't worry...I'll do it!
  • Mandela, we need thah you protest about the conditions in the island and asked for better clothe and food. We want study too.
  • In 1975, Mandela's daughter, Zindzi, came with Winnie to visit him on Robben Island.
  • Yes dad, I've missed you.
  • Oh Zindzi the last time that i saw you, you are a llittle child of three. But now you are a youmg woman! I´m proud of you.
  • That year Mandela decided to write the story of his life....Maharaj took a copy of this pages when he released from prison in 1976...In 1944 Mandela used this pages when he wrote "Long walk to freedom"
  • In march 1982 Mandela with others political prisioners were taken from the boat and driven to Pollsmoor Prison, near of the Cape Town. It was a modern and comfortable prison
