The prisioners arrived in Robben Island.. The prison guards took them to a new building, specially built for political prisioners.
Each prisioner was given a prision number which was put on the door of the cell. Mandela was the 466th that year of 1964, so his number was 466\64 ( a number that later became famuus all over the world)
In 1965, some officials from an internacional group visited Robben Island, and Mandela was chosen by the other prisioners to meet them.

In 1975, Mandela's daughter, Zindzi, came with Winnie to visit him on Robben Island.

In march 1982 Mandela with others political prisioners were taken from the boat and driven to Pollsmoor Prison, near of the Cape Town. It was a modern and comfortable prison
