  • -exposition-
  • Yes.
  • Tired, darling?
  • -inciting incident-
  • Of course I'll give you money and see you're looked after.
  • -rising action-
  • Don't make supper for me, I'm going out!
  • Beginning of the story, Mary Malone, who is six months pregnant is talking to her husband, Patrick who has just came home from work. He is acting strange.
  • -climax-
  • Patrick tells Mary that he is leaving her, he says that he will leave her money and make sure she is cared for. She is very upset.
  • -falling action-
  • Is he dead?
  • I'm afraid he is, what happened?
  • Mary picks up a leg of lamb for Patrick's supper, he tells her he's going out.
  • -resolution & denouement-
  • The evidence is probably right under our very noses.
  • Mary takes the leg of lamb and hits Patrick on the head with it, killing him.
  • Mary calls the police over, pretending that she just found him dead.
  • To hide the evidence, Mary feeds the lamb to the police.
