Hello Mr. President, it is an honor to speak with you on behalf of my Filipino people.
Hello, Mr. Ocampo is it? Nice to meet you.
I would like to jump right in, sir. Our people have had enough of always being under the power of another country, we want independence. And as the president of the United States promoting liberty and independence, if you don't understand this I don't know who would.
Hahaha oh my that is one optimistic viewpoint you've got there. The Filipinos? Ruling themselves? That is ridiculous. If it weren't for us, you would have much worst coming your way.
I'd like you to know that us Filipinos have ruled ourselves before, perfectly fine before you came in and created anarchy. We are very similar to your country as a young nation, trying to declare independence from large controlling predominant countries. Of all people you should understand this.
You Filipinos, like Senator Beveridge said, "are a barbarous race", there is no way you can govern yourselves. The Declaration of Independence only refers to those who can govern themselves, white men.
A Filipino representative has come to speak with President McKinley at the White House.
They go straight into the rocky topic of Filipino Independence.
