• I really need an idea for this science project! Its about how frequency effects Wavelengths.
• Holy Moly i have an idea. We could use the motion and speed of a jumprope. Ill call Bill and Chelsey ﻿
• I wonder if we can create light waves as well?﻿
• As the jumprope hits the ground it creates sound waves.
• No Bill, light waves are electromagnetic waves and can be found in microwaves. As we flip the jumprope it creates mechanical waves because were moving it.
• Lets take a look at the frequency. The faster we turn the rope the higher the wavelength.
• Lets try spinning it faster.﻿
• What is the wavelength and frequency ﻿of the jump rope when it's spinning?
• Since its only one wave it creates a higher frequency. The lower the wavelength the higher the frequency ﻿
• The wavelength would only be one because when you're spinning the jump rope it only creates one wave. ﻿
• So basically the fundamentals ﻿mean the lower the wavelength, the higher the frequency. Amplitude is measured by how high the jumprope is.
• Well, thank you guys for helping me get an ﻿idea for my science project. I'll definitely get an A!!
