  • Orpheus was a very talented musician ,who was deeply in love with the maiden Eurydice
  • Oh, yes Orpheus
  • Eurydice, will you marry me?
  • On the night of the wedding, Eurydice was bitten by a snake and was taken into the underworld.
  • AHHHHHH!! Orpheus help!
  • I'm so sorry my dear, I will get you back!
  • So, Orpheus went into the underworld to try to get his wife back.
  • Luckily, Orpheus convinces Hades won his beautiful wife back with is beautiful voice. But the deal was that when they are walking back to the surface of earth he cannot look back at Eurydice until they get there. If he does look back at her, she will be in the underworld forever.
  • When they were so close to the earth. Orpheus looked back to see if Eurydice was still there and Hades was playing a trick on him. Sadly, she was still there, but since he looked she was taken back into the underworld forever.
  • When Orpheus returned to earth, he would not sing anymore for the Nymphs sing Nymphs tore him to pieces and his soul went to the underworld for eternity
