On the second day of battle on July 2, 1863 general Robert E. Lee created a plan for his confederate troops to attack both sides at Little Round Top. His plan backfired and left 6,500 wounded, missing, or dead.

On July 3, 1863 general George Pickett led a charge on the last day of battle against the union. It did not succeed and he ended up loosing 3,750 of his own men.

After the war there was many casualties and estimated 51,000. 23,000 for the union and 28,000 for the confederacy. After this battle it ended up stopping Robert E. Lee's second invasion to the north

On November 19, 1863 Lincon gave the Gettysburg Address. It was a two minute speech about how the United States is still one family, one of my favorite quotes was " That this nation, under god, shall have a new birth of freedom."
