Word: Wailed A synonym for the word wailed is whined. An antonym for the word wailed is laughed. The definition of whined is to give a cry of pain, grief,or anger. Sally wailed when she fell onto the concrete sidewalk.
The climax in this is story is when all the rain stops and the sun comes out. This turned it to basically be summertime.
The sun does look like that.
Theme: You can learn from someone who is different than you.
NO IT DOESN'T!!!!!
One external conflict in the story is that Margot is trying to tell the other kids from her class what the sun looks like, but they don’t believe her. Margot remembers what the sun looks like because she lived on earth longer than all the other kids. She even wrote a poem about it, but that made the kids hate her even more. As result of this the kids started bullying her.
The example of figurative language I chose was: “ The children pressed together like so many rose.”The author wrote this to show that the kids were packed together.
The resolution of this story was at the end after the kids decided to put Margot in a closet and then leave her there so she wouldn’t see the sun. At the end on the kids realized that they had forgotten about Margot and they went to go get her.I have a feeling that they felt bad about what they had done because they went in silence. Then hey went to take her out of the closet and she was even more silent.
