I know you can't talk to me, but your doing fine.
I would rather be free than be popular.
Millicenet is in a basement on Friday night. This is the last day of her initiation into the sorority.
Yeah this is basically just an exclusive friend group.
Millicent is at school around a week before she is in the basement. she is going through the all of the challenges she needs to endure in order to join the sorority. In this scene she is getting talked to by herb, who is the captain of the basketball team. She is not allowed to talk to herb because of one of the challenges.
I'D RATHER BE FREE.
The flashback is over and she is back in the basement. She has made her decision and has decided not to join the sorority.
Heatherbirds and toast.
What did you eat for breakfast.
Millicent is deciding on whether or not she wants to join the sorority. She is deciding on whether she would want to be popular or free.
do i really want to join this sorority
The resolution is at the end of the story when she is back in the basement. Millicent decides that being free is more important than being popular.
The theme is to be unique and be your self. An example of this is when Millicent is on the bus and she meets the old man who was different from everyone else on the bus. Being free is more important than being popular.
