- the people who were at church listening to Jeremiah are going to another worship place to sacrifice children to praise another lord
- praise to our lord and never betray by following other Gods shall those who do will be punished especially child sacrifice
- to the people of Jerusalem the god of Israel is coming in judgement hes going to destroy his own temple and punish Israel by sending a army from the north which is Babylon god will let this army conquer all of Israel this is gods anger like a wine glass filled to the top about to spill over
- people not listening to Jeremiah and committing child sacrifice

- the prophet of jerimiah is making his announcement that Israel will be taken over from the army of Babylon people are not listening to him saying he is incorrect and folish
- as predicted the next day the army of babylon took over Jerusalem and destroyed gods temple and everything in Jerusalemduring this Jeremiah says this pain will be like a lady in labor
- Israel is take over by Babylon which god lets and people who did not praise the lord and prayed to different gods. but also Nebuchadnezzar II turned Jewish people into slaves which is against what the lord wanted
- force the detonation of Jewish people in Israel and turn them into slaves for us
