Storyboard Text

  • I think I saw the statue move , maybe its a good sign
  • "Oh great Goddess Venus! I do not care if I win or Lose against Arcite for I only care for and want Emily. I am suffering and craving for love I do not care about how I shall recieve her as long as I have her. If I am helped out l promise to be your servant Venus FOR ETERNITY"
  • Oh the fire in the temples went out!  Wow the branches that were used are dripping blood She's Listening
  • Just like Palamon, Emily woke up and went to the temple of Diana , The Goddess of Chasity. Emily performed a secret kind of ritual and offered the Goddess a sacrifice. Emily prayed to Diana telling her that she hopes to be a virgin forever and that she never wants to be a wife or a mother. She begged Diana to make peace between Arcite and Palamon and for them to also fall out of love with her. If the Goddess could not grant Emily's request then she prayed that she would be the wife of the man who loves her best. Emily got a sign that Diana was listening , but they weren't a sign of good but rather a sign for bad. One of the fires in the temple had went out and the branches used were dripping blood. Diana herself showed up and told Emily that she would have to marry one if the knights but did not state which ones.
  • "Oh Goddess Diana! Please let me be a virgin ETERNITY! I do not wish to be a mother or wife to anyone. Make peace among Palamon and Artcite and please make them fall out of love with I Ohh great Goddess Diana!"
  • Emily you have to marry one of the men and I cannot say
  • The fire inside the temple has began to flare! Victory The Statue of Mars says VICTORY!!
  • I WILL FIGHT WITH VENUS
  • "Oh Mars, the God of War! I am suffering for love and I must win through Emily's strength. I be you to help me win the battle and In exchange I will honor you for the rest of my Life!  I am asking you once again to HELP ME WIN!"
  • Palamon had woken up on a Sunday morning and decided that he wanted to visit the new temple of Venus, The Goddess of Love. When he arrived at the temple he expresses to Venus that he has been suffering for love and that he did not care if he won or lost the fight against Arcite. He also to Venus all he wants is Emily and he does not care how he gets her as long as he has her. He tells Venus that if he would help him out he would be her servant forever. When he was done he performing his sacrifice to Venus Palamon notices that the statute of Venus moved a little and thought it might be a good sign
  • Arcite visits a temple and instead of praying to the Goddess of Love or Chasity he prays to Mars, The God of War. Arcite offers a sacrifice and prays. He tells Mars hoe much he suffers for love and that he must win through Emily's strength. He begged Mars to help him win the battle and that in exchange he would honor Mars for the rest of his life.  Arcite did not ask or pray to be Emily's husband. Arcite received a sign from Mars by the fires in the temple flaring up and the statue of Mars says Victory on it. The Gods are in the heavens fighting(Venus and Mars) and the King of the Gods(Jupiter) has had enough. Saturn came up with a solution and promises Venus that Palamon will get Emily and that Mars can help Arcite win the battle.
  • King Theseus modified the battle between Palamon and Arcite. It was no longer a fight to the death. Rather whoever defeated the other would take Emily's hand in marriage. So Palamon and Arcite each took 100 of their best warriors, in hopes of getting to marry the beautiful Emily.
  • At the end of the battle Arcite came out victorious. An earthquake caused by Saturn frightens Arcites horse. The horse steps on Arcites chest, but Arcite is still alive. Before he dies he calls Emily and Palamon, and tells them they should be together after his death. At his funeral everyone shows up and mourns him.
  • Palamon and Emily take Arcites advice and get married. Theseus is very happy, everyone is very happy for their marriage. Palamon and Emily live happily ever after.
