  • Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas were a popular talk in 1858 while they were debating around Illinois, fighting for a seat in the Senate.
  • ALL SLAVERY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
  • SAY NO TO SLAVERY!!
  • But they were not alone in these debates, because thousands of people came out to watch the famous duo debate.
  • Douglas believed that the people had a right to vote if they wanted their state to keep or prohibit slavery.
  • THE END
  • Lincoln wanted slavery to be outlawed, and this was the main focus of their arguments.
  • Despite all the hard work, Lincoln lost the seat to Douglas. But all of this paled in comparison to the seat Licoln would win over Douglas, the spot as the United States President
