  • I am Martin Luther and I am a German monk!
  • This is not right!!!!
  • Indulgences! Buy your own indulgence for a free pass to heaven!
  • I am Martin Luther and I was born in Eisleben, Germany on the 10th of November, 1483. I am a German monk. I taught Theology at the University of Wittenburg until I realised my passion is to be a priest.
  • Now we can protest against the church!
  • When I was sent to Rome, I saw the Roman Catholic church selling indulgences. They sold them as a free pass to heaven but they really just wanted the money Therefore, I thought the church's teachings were wrong.
  • You are wrong about the church!
  • In 1517, I nailed my 95 thesis to the door of the Wittenburg Cathedral because I believed that the church and the Popes were corrupt. My beliefs that you don't have to go to church to clean your soul, selling indulgences was wrong, the Bible should be in every language, don't make an image of God and the church is too rich, is what sparked the Protestant Reformation.
  • You are excommunicated from the church for a year because of your insane beliefs!!!
  • But the church is corrupt!
  • During my religious rebellion, I gained followers called Lutherans because they also wanted to protest against the church and Popes. I shared my ideas and thoughts that the Pope and church were corrupt and gained more support and power.
  • The King, Henry VIII, burnt my indulgences and persecuted all Lutherans. He had all power over the church and thought I was a bad influencer. I found him an enemy and fought against him, the Popes and the church harder because they were wrong.
  • In 1521, I was called to appear in Worms, Germany because the Pope wanted me to defend my beliefs to the Emperor. I told him what all the church and Popes have done but instead, he excommunicated me from the church! But in the end of the Reformations, I reshaped Europe!!!!
