Storyboard Text

  • This is Jane. Jane was cooking dinner when her hand slipped and she cut herself. Jane is in need of some medical help, but luckily her friend Donna knows what to do.
  • First, Donna had someone call 911 and she then checked the scene for safety, made sure she had Jane's consent and then checked to see how Jane was.
  • Then Donna grabbed all the personal protective equipment she thought she might need and put it on.
  • Then Donna covered the wound with a sterile dressing and started to apply pressure on the wound until the bleeding stopped. She then wrapped a roller bandage around the dressing to secure it in place.
  • Donna wrapped the bandage by starting from the end farthest from the heart and overlapping the roller bandage several times to completely cover the dressing. When she was done, she taped the bandage to keep it in place and so it would keep pressure on the wound.
