  • Lets all stop fighting! No more war!!

  • Hey Pearl harbor, we don't want you stopping us from getting land so we're gonna blow you up!
  • The signing of the Treaty of Versailles ended WW1, and enforced Germany to pay reparations, and limit their army. Germany didn't follow these rules 
  • Agression of Italy
  • The league of nations was created after WW1 to unite countries in order to solve worldwide problems. The League's goals included getting rid of weapons, preventing war and negotiation.
  • Hitler and Germany
  • Watch out, I need more land
  • Japan wanted control of Asia, and seized multiple islands. They attacked the US port, Pearl Harbor, by surprise and in turn sparked the US involvement in the war. The purpose of the Pearl Harbor attack was to get rid of interference of the US so that Japan could attack Southeast Asia.
  • Appeasement
  • Ok! *fingers crossed behind back*
  • Mussolini allied himself with Hitler, both men wanted land expansion. Mussolini was a violent man, after a lost election he was arrested for allegedlly attempting to overthrow the government. Both Italy and Germany believed that the aryans were a master race, and teamed up to overthrow countries.
  • Hello, I am Il Duce, leader of Italy
  • Even after Hitlers promise to stop his expansion, he still ended up making attempts at war 6 months later. His troops moved into the Sudentenland region, and demanded the land be handed over. Hitler wanted large expansion to create an empire and to have enough space (or Lebensraum) for everyone. 
  • Welcome to Sedetenland
  •  After Hitler promised to stop invading countries and expanding, Czechoslovakia made an agreement with him that he could keep the land he already siezed, as long as he took no more. This was their way of appeasement, to try and make sure that Hitler didn't start war, but to save their own land.
  • Fine.. you can have the land but STAY OUT!
