Storyboard Text

  • What? What are you talking about?
  • This is terrible! How did this happen?!?!?
  • Must I explain further? Shannon needed ATP to live. And unfortunately, Shannon's Mitochondrion weren't able to produce any.
  • Well John the explanation is pretty simple actually. Shannon died because she stoped making ATP.
  • How do you not know this?
  • When someone consumes water and O2, you produce many things such as CO2.
  • Indeed, if only she had the required amounts of Oxygen and Water, she would be alive.
  • Does this involve Glycolysis, which occurs in the Mitochondrion?
  • No, You fool, It occurs in the cytoplasm when glucose is split into pyruvic acid!
  • How is the ATP spent?
  • The ATP loses a Phosphate and exerts energy
  • Yes, then the ATP becomes ADP
  • What happens after Glycoloysis? The electron transportation chain?
  • No, its the Krebs cycle, where some pyruvates are altered, and NAD+ turns to NADH by adding a hydrogen.
  • The next step is -- what's that?!?!
  • WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!
  • OOOOoOoO, it's me, the ghost of Shannon. I'm here to fix your ignorance. John how do you not know about Cellular respiration.
