  • King George promised the colonists that if they fought on the side of the British, he would allow them to move west of the Appalachian Mountains.

  • Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan which was the plan for a unified government for the colonies.
  • The Treaty of Paris (1763) ended the war in 1763.
  • The treaty gave Britain the mainland of North America.
