  • Walk to the base and take a step away from it to ensure that you will get an optimum hit.
  • Nice Hit!
  • Hold the bat above your shoulder and get ready for the pitcher to throw the ball towards you. Squat a little bit to get more power, but don't squat too much!  When holding the bat, make sure to grip with your fingers.
  • Keep your eye on the ball and once its about 2-3 meters away, SWING! Do not hesitate and make sure you have your bat aligned with the ball.  REMEMBER lead with your elbow and not your hands
  • DO NOT

  • Take 1 second to check whether or not you can run as you may have hit a foul ball but if you can...
  • Run to the first, second or third base before the ball is given to the fielders on those bases but..........
  • Do not just stand there and think about how good of a shot it was!! Your team mates will start shouting at you....GO GO GO!
