  • Supply Run
  • Lewis and Clark
  • At first the Americans did not cross the Mississippi river, but after the Louisiana purchase they got many of the land out west of the Mississippi.
  • Returning of Lewis and Clark
  • When they moved they could only bring limited things. Most brought there rifles and axes for safety and for they could kill animals for food.
  • Worried Federalists
  • OH NO!!!
  • Lewis and Clark explored the land west of the Mississippi River. Lewis and Clark encountered many Native American groups. A Shoshone woman named Sacagawea guided Lewis and Clark through there journey.
  • Hamilton and Burr Duel
  • After 18 months and close to 4,000 miles Lewis and Clark got to the Pacific Ocean and spent the Winter there. They headed back east to return home on September 18, 1806.
  • The federals thought that the Lousiana Purchase would weaken New Englands power becasue of the western expansion.
  • Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr went into a duel and Burr shot first and hit him and he died the next day. The Federalists plan was successful.
