The cause of the Boston Massacre was that Boston people had been heading protests against British Taxation, First the Stamp Act and then in 1767 again in the Townshend Acts. Then the British opened fire on the people of Boston.
The Intolerable Acts
The causes of the Intolerable Acts were punitive laws passed by British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston Tea Party. The laws were meant to punish the massachusetts colonists for their defiance in the tea party protest.
