Play from Act 2 Scene 1
One sunny day, the King of Austria, King Harlem married a beautiful lady called Elissa. They live in a heavily guarded castle called Mosstrine.
The couple, who were much adired by the country, then had a baby. They called it Harlem, after his father.
A few years later however, whilst he sat and refreshed in his orchard, his greedy brother (Clareth) appears to be carrying a bottle of poison. He is getting closer and closer...
Within a few minutes, Clareth pours poison down the king’s ear, and dies to his brother’s greed of the throne. However, the whole of Austria are told he was bitten by a snake and died of the poison.
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, he remarried with the deceased king’s wife, Elissa! Harlem, the king's son, despised the thought of the King's own brother marrying with his widow.
THe play is abruptly paused, as Claudius stands up, complains, and leaves! This, to all of us, is suspicious.
