As she put her hand in the bag, she felt something strange. She grabbed it and pulled out a calculator! “Now I can get down!” She took the calculator and square rooted 225. The length of the rope she needed was 15ft! She had just enough rope for it!
So Joan began to work. She tied the end of the rope to a broken stick. She connected the other end of the rope to the tree.
Then she quickly tied the exact length of rope to the branch and connected it to the tree. Then she threw the broken branch end of the rope into the ground.
“Here we go” Joan said and then jumped! Joan zoomed down and just barely made it to the ground.
“Phew!” Joan said, “That was a close one…” Then she thought, “Maybe my mom was right about this tree after all…”
After that day, Joan kept climbing trees but kept away from that tree. And she paid attention in math everyday! The End.
