  • Darn This Permafrost
  • If you wanted to mine, you'd have to grab a sign and stick it in a piece of land, meaning that this is your mining area.
  • Sorry dude, I was here first (:
  • CLAIM! BACK OFF!
  • AWWWWW.
  • HOORAYYY!
  • But when the prospectors came to the Yukon, they had nowhere to stay. That's why boomtowns were created. Small community's to accommodate the prospecters.
  • Come on in boys. We got plenty of food and water.
  • However, the gold rush sadly effected the first nations tribes living there. They were moved off their land and moved to a different reserve and many died.
  • I can't believe we have to move just because of one stupid gold rush.
  • But in 1899 gold was found in Nome in Alaska, soon after that everyone left the Klondike and headed for new gold spots
  • Phew, I'm glad that's over.
  • Finally, after 4 years The Klondike Gold Rush was over, and The Yukon was back to normal. What about Alaska? Well That's a story for another time.
  • GOLLLLLLD!
