  • Area-(The size of a surface) The amount of space inside the boundary of  flat objects such as a triangle or square. Perimeter-The distance around a two- dimensional shape. Cylinder-A solid geometric figure with straight parallel sides and a circular or oval cross section.
  • Time to write out all these definitions, and see which students actually read them.
  • Prism-A solid geometric figure whose two end faces are similar, equal,and parallel.And sides are parallelograms. Cone-A solid or hollow object that tapers from a circular or roughly circular base to a point. Sphere-A round solid figure with every point on its surface equidistant from its center. cube-A symmetrical three-dimensional shape, either solid or hollow, contained by six equal squares.
  • triangular pyramid-a pyramid having a triangular base.  square pyramid- A pyramid having a square base. volume-a mass or quantity, especially a large quantity, of something Altitude- the perpendicular distance from the vertex of a figure to the side opposite the vertex.
