In chapter 1-2 Of Mice and Men the two main characters are George and Lennie and they are in a the woods talking about there dream of owning there own ranch.Also what kind of animals Lennie can tend and get .There was a snake in the pond hissing which foreshadows evil. George and Lennies dream is a a symbol of an American dream.They are characterized as best friends.All people have dreams even the most common ones.
In chapter 3-4 George and Lennie arrive at the ranch and meet Slim and George talks about how Lennie is a nice and a good worker even though he may not seem to be smart.George and Lennie have a friendship that is rear and not common.This foreshadows to candy ad his dog who has a real friendship that not everybody in the ranch have.
In chapter 6 George shoots Lennie in the back of the head,for Lennie had did a really bad thing ,before Curley and the other guys shoot him.This is the beginning and end of there dream.The death of Candy's dog foreshadows the death of Lennie. Friends must make sacrifices and the best laid plans Of Mice and Men often go away.
