Storyboard Text

  • I have everything I could ever want, but... I'm not happy
  • Raina the Rich Droplet By Mae Briggs
  • Maybe I'll go for a swim in the water.
  • Uh oh....
  • GULP!
  • Raina is later evaporated out of the turtle when it starts to sweat. She is nervous about evaporation because it has never happened to her before.
  • Ahhh! Help! A turtle is drinking me!
  • LATER...
  • Woo hoo! Evaporation is much more fun than I expected! I'm rising higher and higher, and turning into water vapor!
  • Woah... I am water vapor now! I just changed from water to a gas!
  • Sigh.... I jut want to go back home. This is too hard.
  • Oh well... I guess I'll try to make the most of this experience.
  • Wow! Is this really happening? I'm condensing and turning into a cloud. It's really cold, though.
  • What Raina didn't say is what condensation is. With colder temperatures, vapor turns back into liquid water droplets which form clouds.
  • Hmmm...this is the first time I've actually been a part of something bigger than myself. Maybe I will go talk to some other droplets to make some new friends. I've never really had any friends before. Back home, everyone thought I was selfish.
  • Well, Storm, it was so nice getting to know you!
  • Ah! Too much water has condensed! We are combining, getting heavier, and falling as precipitation.
  • No! Bye, Raina.
  • Agreed! I hope that, after precipitation, we end up in the same place!
