  • George M. Pullman
  • Well today i'm going to lower the wages for my workers.
  • All the workers in the Pullman Company found out that George M. Pullman lowered there wages again.
  • The workers decided to go and talk to there owner. They were very upset with how little they were getting payed, and how they had to work for 16 hours a day in poor working conditions.
  • When the workers got to were Pullman was, he said that he was not going to meet with them and talk to them about anything or he was going to fire them.
  • All the worker were very angry now since Pullman didn't meet with them, the decided that they were all going to go on strike, so none of them went to work.
  • Eugene V. Debs
  • The ARU (American Railway Union) found out about the strike from the works. They refused to allow any train with a Pullman car to move.
  • This train wont be traviling anywhere.
  • Pullman Company
  • After a lot of fighting about this strike, the workers kept going back and forth to different jobs. Debs when to jail and Pullman became known as a bad man because of what he did to his workers.

  • No one likes me now.
