Inciting Action: The inciting action of this story is when Dana, the main character, ran away from home. Because she ran away, this helps creates the conflict in the story.

Dana we have to save you sister from your stepdad. I have a plan. Will you work with me?
Rising Action: In this scene, Dana meets Brent and Ashley. They take Dana under their wings and become family. As well, they try to survive on the streets together.

Rising Action: In this scene, while Dana is spray painting a picture, she meets Robert from an organization called Sketches. This is a place were people living on the streets can come and be creative and do different types of art.
Rising Action: Dana decides to go to Sketches. Here, she begins a painting that is really good. She meets Nikki, the owner, and an artist named Becca asks Dana if she is willing to put this painting in an art show.
Climax: In this scene the conflict gets resolved. At Sketches Nikki notices cuts on Dana's arm. She realizes that she was being abused at home by her stepdad and she realizes that she has to save Dana's sister. Dana agrees with Nikki and is willing to work with her to hellp her family.
Resolution: It is finally time for Dana to show her art in the art show. Dana is foster care until she is ready to move back home with her mom and sister. Her stepdad went to jail and is not alllowed to see them again. Everyone Dana loves comes and supports her at the at show, even her mom. Life is slowly getting better for everyone in the book.
