  • Julius Caesar´s victory
  • I won the war! I´m going to declare myself dictator...
  • In Ancient Rome, in the first century BC, the Republic was debilitated by internal conflicts and dishonest dealings.  
  • Julius Caesar´s assassination
  • The thing is, even if all these problems were happening, the power of the army grew but generals opposed each other and civil wars commence.
  • Another civil war
  • WAR!!!!!
  • Julius Caesar won some of these wars, and proclaimed himself dictator.  
  • The start of the Roman Empire
  • My name is now Augustus! The Roman Empire has started!
  • Julius Caesar was a dictator during 5 years. He was assassinated by three senators who wanted Rome to become a Republic again. He was assassinated at the foot of a statue of Pompey.
  • There was another civil war because of the death of Julius Caesar. Some people wanted revenge, and others wanted Rome to be a Republic. 
  • Octavian (Julius Caesar´s nephew), won the war. Rome was Republic until Octavian changed his name to the Emperor Augustus in 27 BC. The Roman Empire started.
