Storyboard Text

  • Zeus felt lust towards Metis, the entity of prudence, deep thought and wisdom.
  • Metis tried to run away from Zeus by changing her form many times, to a hawk, snake and fish, but Zeus did the same and would not relent.
  • Finally Metis relented and was soon impregnated with Zeus's baby.
  • An Oracle of Gaea then prophesied that Metis' first child would be a girl but, her second child would be a boy that would overthrow Zeus.
  • Zeus opened his mouth and swallowed her the next time he saw her. This was the end of Metis but, possibly the beginning of Zeus's wisdom.
