The Climax of the story is when Della, and Jim give each other their gifts. Jim got a gold chain which Della cut and sold her hair for. Della got hair clips she has been eyeing that Jim sold his watch for. They both loved their very much.
Jim tells Della to put these presents away and keep them awhile. He said, they are two nice to be just a presents. Jim wanted them to wise like the wise men.
Despite all their errors, Jim and Della love each other very much. Especially, because of the scarifies and the values of love.
