  • I found it in his closet, 'tis his will: let but the commons hear this testament- Which, pardon me, i do not mean to read- And they would go and kiss dead Caesar's wounds And dip thier napkins in his sacred blood, Yea, beg hair of him for memory, And, dying, mention it within their wills, Bequeathing it as rich legacy Unto thier issue. Have patience, gentle friends, I must not read it;

  • This moved the audience because when caeser left his will, it made the people of Rome feel like they can get a new start and they are a part of something.
  • By Caeser leaving the people of Rome in his will, it shows that he actually cared about them and saw himself as a father figure for them. This makes the people feel wanted which Brutus took away by killing Caeser.
