  • Women were believed to be deprived from society. Women could not go to school, but instead they were privately tutored. This means that women were neglected in society.  Also women could not get involved with politics, theater, etc,. Women couldn't get a job other than cooking, being a maid, etc. MC
  • But  one restriction that women don't love,  is women can't choose their spouses. Women could not choose for love, only for dowry. Women have to obey their husbands commands by law. This means women had no say in society. MC
  • In the 1500's married women bared a child every two years, childbearing being considered an honor.  Women were the housewives and the mothers of the house, not the breadwinners like the fathers. MC
