  • THE BIG BANG
  • HOT, SMALL
  • EXPANDING, COOLING
  • Singularity
  • Distance= Speed
  • Look! Could this be left over from the Big Bang.
  • Now
  • This is the theory of the Big Bang and information about it.
  • Started off as a singularity. All of a sudden it started to inflate. Eventually, it cooled and our universe was made. To this day, the universe is still growing.
  • SPEED LIMIT: SPEED  OF LIGHT
  • Astronomers have been able to do a lot in finding proof of the Big Bang. First, finding  time zero. Galaxies moving away distances equal to their speed. Left over heat/radiation from the big bang has been observed.
  • Contracting
  • Expansion
  • Some misconceptions about the Big Bang: People believe there was an explosion. LIES. There was no explosion, only expansion. OR A singularity as a fireball appearing in space. LIES. Nothing existed before the singularity.
  • An argument against the Big Bang Theory: The inflation period of the Big Bang violates the rule of nothing can travel faster than the speed of light.  Responses to the criticism: The theory of relativity didn't apply to the start of the Big Bang. Another response, space can travel faster than the speed of light, as space doesn't apply the theory of gravity.
  • Another theory on the creation of the universe: The Big Bounce Theory This says that the universe expands and contracts. This process repeats after billions of years.
