You can have it, but I'm warning you, this paw is dangerous.
For your son's service, here is 200 pounds. I'm sorry for your loss.
The Sergeant-Major is giving Mr. White the monkey's paw, although he thinks that they shouldn't have it because it is dangerous.
I wish my son alive again.
Mr. White wished for 200 pounds and as soon as he did, the piano made a large crash noise. Mrs. White, Mr. White, and Herbert were all startled at the loud noise.
I wish my son would disappear.
Mr. and Mrs. White were told by a man that their son had passed away at work after being caught in a machine. The man told them that because of Herbert's service, they get 200 pounds in return.
Mrs. White came up with the idea to wish for Herbert to come back alive. Mr. White was reluctant to do it but eventually agreed and wished.
After Mr. White wished, they heard knocking at the door. Mrs. White struggled to get downstairs to open the door. Mr. White was frantically searching for the monkey's paw after he dropped it and when he found it, he wished that the son would disappear.
When Mrs. White finally opened the door, there was nothing but a cold wind blowing inside and a street light flickering.
