  • PART 1:  Bruno Heceta and Juan Francisco sale the northwest coast and land on Greenville Bay. They claim the pacific North West Spain's in 1175. 
  • PART 2:  Eight of the men are shot by the Quinalt tribe. The Spanish explorers continue their journey along the coast. 
  • In the 1700 Europeans arrive and spread diseases to Native Americans. 
  • James Cook a British explorer names Cape Flattery in 1778. English fur traders soon arrive. 
  • Manuel Quimper explores the strait of Juan De Fuca. He lands on Neah Bay and claims it as the Spanish in 1790. 
  • In 1791 Francisco Eliza, a Spanish explorer, Maps the strait of Juan de Fuca and Strait of Georgia.
