We're going to find another job but you must act better!
I'm sorry George but the dress was pretty!
Lennie is that a mouse?! Get rid of it now!
But it's soft George and I like petting it!
We don't have any! If I didn't let you stay with me I'd still have a job and afford ketchup!
George how come we don't have any ketchup? I want ketchup!
I'm sorry Lennie, I didn't mean to upset you
Yep we'll have our own house and you can take care of the rabbits
It's ok George because we'll still have rabbits one day right?
And you must remember this Lennie, come back to this river when ever you get in trouble again!
Ok, I'll try not to forget George!
This scene in the story is very important because it gives the readers a big idea of how Lennie and George act. Lennie seems very childish while George is always trying to keep him in check. This scene is also important because the river that was supposed to be a safe place for Lennie ended up being the place where he dies.
