Jordyn Wieber was four when she started gymnastics. She got hand picked by John Geddert to his Silverstars program.
She practiced gymnastics and took it seriously and won numerous competitions. By age ten she qualified to level ten in the Junior Olympic.
Wieber attended the American Cup in Chicago, Illinois. She won first in all-around and an injury prevented her from attending the Visa Championships.
On March 5, 2011 Jordyn attended her first senior elite competition at the American Cup in Jackson Ville, Florida in place of an injured athlete and won all-around.
The Americans won ream title in Jesolo, Italy at the city of Jesolo Trophy.
At the end of July, Wieber competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London , United Kingdom. In qualifications she placed forth behind her teammates Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas meaning that she would not advance to the all-around finals due to the rule limiting participating countries to having a maximum of two competitors in the all-around final. Wieber would still compete in the team final where the american team qualified first.
