  • What is Fast Fashion?
  •  Fast fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to meet new trends. The collections are often based on designs presented at Fashion Week events. Fast fashion allows mainstream consumers to purchase trendy clothing at an affordable price.
  • When/How it came about?
  • In an effort to match customer desires, the concept of 'fast fashion' was born. Fast fashion was invented in fashion retail to describe the quick turnover of designs that move from the catwalk to current fashion trends and became very popular in the early 2000's.
  • It led to a rapid produce of pollution to the environment. When the clothes are dyed the chemicals can be drained into the ground.

  • Working conditions...
  • The workers have little to no rights and they work in bad condition leading to declining health. Children can be force to work there for little pay or free as a return of money that was owed to the owner.
  • Cost of Fast Fashion...
  • The cost of the clothing is very cheap to make and is sold cheap in most stores. The quality of the clothing is poor and is mostly made with polyester and not cotton with is better for a long lasting product and comfort.
