The Great Plains had prairies and grassland with few trees. They had some hilly land and powerful winds. They also have hot summers and cold winters.
The Great Plain Native Americans survived off of hunting bison, buffalo, and farming. The most popular crop they grew was corn. They also shot the bison and buffalo with a bow and arrow.
What the Great Plains Native Americans did every day was make teepees. The girls also learned to sew from their mothers and the boys learned to hunt from their fathers. The mothers also made clothes for their family and decorated mostly with porcupine quills and colorful beads.
