Effects of the Industrial Revolution: Before and After- Madelyn
This storyboard does not have a description.
Although Beth and John love the country life they live, they know that they are missing out on economic opportunities in the city.
Beth encourages John to look for work in the city. She knows that if he finds a job then their family would have to move, but she thinks it would be worth it. Reluctantly, John agrees to look for work- in no time he finds a job.
Even though I have work here, the living conditions are terrible. I wish I didn't have to move my family and leave the country.
My job hours are from 6am to 9pm every day. Someday's my boss has me work through lunch. My wife is left at home by herself almost every day.
Ever since John started working here, our income has greatly increased. I miss him dearly, but we can finally afford a nicer home and food.
Beth and John, members of the middle class, thrived during the Industrial Revolution through dedication and hard work.
