The first step to balancing your physical wellness starts with physical activity. Physical activity can be anything from walking up and down the stair ten times to an intense ab workout. According to Module 2 Lesson 2, there are many benefits to being physically active such as: reducing health risk, strengthening your bones and muscles, and even reducing risk of depression and anxiety. In addition, each individual should focus on body fat composition, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular endurance as they are the main five health components.
Do you struggle with balancing your physical well being? Such as working out, eating healthy, while maintaining a positive mindset. If you're this individual, then it's time to start balancing your physical wellness by creating a S.M.A.R.T goal.
The third step in finding a balance is maintaining a mental well being. Maintaining a positive mindset helps you stay focused and motivated throughout your journey and goal. For example, if someone says " I can" rather than " I can't" they are going to believe in themselves and put their mind to it and make it possible.
The next step to maintain physical wellness is to have a proper nutrition. This means eating healthy more times than not. A donut and fries might be tempting, but if you switch it to fruits and veggies you will start to feel a difference and not to mention your body with thank you! Don't forget It's all in moderation!
The final step to balancing your physical wellness is to create a S.M.A.R.T goal ( specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time related.) This goal is meant to be simple, yet realistic and a challenge. Give yourself a deadline and a guide to go off of, such as how many times you will work towards this goal each week.
Working out, eating healthy, and maintaining a positive mindset are the key factors to having physical wellness. Creating a S.M.A.R.T goal is a way to ensure you keep a balance no matter your goal.
