  • October 5th 1789 was one of the most significant events to take place in the French Revolution.
  • The women's march first started when the women got very upset because they didn't have enough money for there families to get the basic necessities. This problem was also because the prices going up in bread.
  • You need to come back to Paris and rule over your people.
  • The royal family didn't care about the women and what they had to say and continued to live there lives without any problems. Many of the women decided to come together and protest against the problem
  • They royal family finally listended to us
  • We finally had a little bit of a say!
  • We did it!
  • More and more women started to have the same problem and the group of women quickly became a mob of thousands. They started marching to Versailles were King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette lived.
  • The women ended up successfully persuading the royal family to come back to Paris and rule over there people. This was a major turning point for the women and the whole of Paris, this was also the end of the women's march.
  • The Women's March was very important because after the women succeeded on getting the royal family to move back to Paris they started to feel like they had more of a voice then they originally did . A short term effect would be that the women removed all doubt that the monarchy controlled the people and no one had a say in anything.
