Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Problem/Conflict
  • Rising Action
  •  This is a story about a mongoose, named Rikki-Tikki, that got washed out of his home by a flood in the 1800s. He ended up with Teddy's family who lived India. Rikki became their pet and protector.
  • Climax
  • While out exploring the garden, Rikki heard Darzee, a bird, and his wife whimpering. He found out Nag, a cobra, had eaten their fledgling. Rikki knew that it was his job to get rid of that snake.
  • Falling Action
  • Rikki-Tikki then builds his courage by killing another snake, with the name of Karait, to protect Teddy. Shortly after, he hears about the plan of Nag and his wife, Nagaina. They wanted Rikki gone, but instead Rikki- Tikki kills Nag.
  • Resolution/End
  • Nagaina later cornered Teddy's family while they ate dinner, because she thought that Teddy's father killed Nag.
  • Rikki, then, dangled Nagaina's egg in front of her to lure her away from the table. The lure worked and Rikki bit the tail of Nagaina as she scurried toward her hole. He still held on even as she went down.
  • Rikki came back out of the hole alive and announced to everyone that both cobras were dead after killing Nagaina.
