Hi, my name is Mia.
Hi, my name is Addison.
Welcome to car safety with Addison and Mia. We are going to teach you about car safety and car safety during a storm.
When talking about safety everyone has to be on the same page before even turning on the vehicle. This includes having your seat belt buckled, mirrors adjusted, knowing where you're going and having directions.
When talking about safety rules you have to simplify when talking to new inexperienced drivers. Make sure when you get out of your car it's parked, lights are off, and it's locked. Pay attention to your surroundings when driving and getting out of your car.
Hey, what's that on the side of the road?
I don't know, but we shouldn't get out of the car since it's lighting.
As you can see there is a white dashed line in the middle of the road. Each lane is for traffic traveling in different directions. In this situation you wouldn't want to cross.
As we're driving it started to rain. When it's raining you have to make sure to turn on your windshield wipers so you can see clearly.
Lighting struck the rock on the side of the road. Mia wanted to get out a take a look at it but Addison explained to her that when it's lighting you shouldn't get out of the car.
