Storyboard Text

  • The Treasure Hunt
  • Hey Neil! Wanna come over to my house afterschool and walk around in the woods and see what we find?
  • Yeah! That sounds great, Barry. I'm always up for an adventure!
  • After School in the Woods...
  • I'm not sure. It kinda looks like a map. Lets go check it out!
  • Hey Barry, What is that over there on the ground?
  • Wow! Lets find the quickest way to get there.
  • Barry! It is a treasure map! Look!
  • On the map the angle of elevation is 55° and the side adjacent to the angle is 200. If Barry and Neil were to walk in a straight line toward the mark on the map, how far do they have to walk?
  • x
  • 348.7 feet
  • 200 feet
  • 55°
  • If you use Tan you will get Tan(55)= x/200. To get x alone you multiply by 200. You get 200Tan(55)=x. X=285.63 feet. The boys walk this to find what the treasure is.
  • An abandoned treehouse! Wow!
  • The End!
