Does the Christian community really accept everyone for who they are?
A rough draft for writing my photo essay, due Sunday @ 12am
Does a christian church make you feel welcome no matter who you are?
"Love thy neighbor" Mark 12:31
In the bible it says we need to love one another and respect one another, no matter who we are, our beliefs and our actions. But do all Christians go by this?
I was raised in a baptist church, and mine was pretty accepting, but recently I started going to Athens Church. It changes your whole view of church.
Athens Church is a church for people who don't like going to regular church. They have a sermon and they sing, but they preach differently. They don't pressure you to do things their way, they don't care how you dress, or if you have tattoos and piercings. They accept everyone no matter who they are.
We think that God would like it this way, but you by no means have to do it this way.
Life is better connected
One of Athen's Church motto's is life is better connected. it's better if we're ALL communicating with one another. No matter our differences
