Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • The  Boller family, Jenna, Faith and Carol, live in Chicago, Illinois. Carol is an ER nurse while her daughter Jenna works at Gladstone's shoe store part time. 
  • Conflict
  • Jenna and Faiths father is a miserable drunk, who comes around every once and a while to "reconnect". But all he does is mess things up. He shows up to Jenna's work wasted which makes Mrs. Gladstone,  Jenna's boss, upset. She then has to lead him out of the store and down the street to talk to him.
  • Rising Action
  • Jenna's boss, Mrs. Gladstone, calls her one day and asks if she can drive. When Jenna replies yes, Mrs. Gladstone immediately says that Jenna is to drive her to Texas making stops along the way. 
  • Jenna is confused at first but she wants the money offered. At first her mother says no but with persuasion Jenna is able to convince her to let her go. Jenna and Mrs. Gladstone travel to Texas for the big stock meeting.
  • Climax
  • Jenna shows up to the stock meeting and speaks up about how the company should be run. She explains to all the stock holders that the company is not just about money, it is about quality and its about the customers.
  • Falling Action
  • Jenna arrives home to her mother and sister. They were all so happy to see each other.  Jenna finds out that her sister went to visit her grandmother every week like she usually did. 
  • Resolution
  • Mrs. Gladstone's son, Elden, is shocked and he tries to keep profit on the mind of the stock holders. The vote results show that the merge will continue but Mrs. Gladstone must be in charge of quality control for the company.
  • Jenna finally gets the car she was saving for. She feels so free. She is so happy. and she drives to see her grandmother every week. Everything finally seemed complete.
