  • do I have to?
  • women had little education in the 1500's. for example, women were only aloud to learn basic knowledge. Throughout the middle ages, the place of women in society was often by biblical text. men thought women couldn't make a difference in their society.
  • women were accepted to respect all male figure. women assisted their fathers and husbands in wide variety of trades and crafts including the production of textiles, leather goods, and metal work, as running shops and ins. Men thought women were made only to assist the men and  to do household work.
  • If parents gave permission girls at 12 years or older they were aloud to marry. Most women, however, were married, usually as teenagers. afterwards, they were responsible for managing the household, whether this was a great castle or a small peasant hovel. Men thought women should not have the responsibility to choose their husbands.
